Bhubaneswar,11/11 : (Odisha Khabar) – State Bank of India, Bhubaneswar Circle, APMAS and CYSD organised a day long SBI FPO CONNECT program at State Bank Institute for Learning & Development, Bhubaneswar on 07.11.2025. A total of 49 FPOs & 16 representatives of FPO promoters attended the event along with over 20 officials from SBI. The desk appraisal of 47 FPOs was undertaken and 45 FPOs were given in-principal sanction letters.
A brief overview of FPOs in India and how FPOs can be developed into thriving business organisations with FPO financing as the main driver was shared with the participants. For FPOs to effectively utilise financing, they were advised to improve member-ownership, their systems of accounting & bookkeeping and their business-readiness with business planning & market linkages.
State Bank of India is organising such FPO Connect Programs across India in collaboration with different CBBOs/ NGOs. It was the 14th program in this series.
